How I take notes on my iPad Pro in medical school - Cambridge University medical student

  • 📝My favourite iPad Screen Protector - Paperlike -
In this video, we talk about my strategy for taking notes with the iPad and Apple Pencil. I use an iPad Pro but would probably recommend the new 2018 iPad with Apple Pencil if you're buying a new one. We talk about the benefits of taking notes with an iPad vs traditional methods, we talk about Notability vs OneNote (I prefer Notability), and I share various techniques of note-taking that I use in lectures, seminars and hospital placements. Enjoy xx

    Answering some common questions:
    (1) Screen Protector? - I’ve been using and loving the Paperlike screen protector. If you want to check it out, here's an affiliate link haha -
    (2) iPad Pro size? I use the 10.5 64GB, never really considered the 12.9 because I need to carry it around in hospitals and 10.5 is a good size.
    (3) What cover/sleeve do I use? I use the (overpriced) official Apple leather sleeve and cover combination

How much storage should we get on the iPad Pro if we are just concerned with note taking for college? The 64, 128, or 256 GB ? Please help :-)

You just use Google Gboard it will type everything whatever your lecturer says in the lecture. You just concentrate on the studying rather than writing notes as written material is already in the books.

Penmanship, Penmanship, Penmanship! PLEASE! Your writing is on the borderline of awful and as a person who works with medical professionals I can tell you that WE as well as any pharmacist, nurse, lab tech, etc would greatly appreciate it if you wrote your documentation as if someone else will be reading it and deciphering what you want or are requesting BECAUSE WE ARE! Just because you know what you are writing doesn't me that we all know what that squiggle next to the other squiggle next to the circle that looks like it could be a C but is actually an O means! Writing horribly is dangerous for a patient. Pharmacist can't really tell what you want . Nurse is not sure what you meant. Yes the hospitals and offices are primarily electronic--but not everything is electronic. Your hand writing will be viewed.

Even as digital artist, when I tried the 2018 iPad, I don't really have issues with the non-laminated screen. You can hardly notice the gap, honestly. So the iPad 2018 is a powerful device on its price range
