How to use: Excel GCD AND LCM Functions- Simplified

  • Hello viewers , now we will talk about the GCD AND LCM Functions in excel, also known as Greatest common divisor and Least common Multiple Functions.

    Both functions have similar syntax, both takes integers numbers as
    arguments where first integer is required while others are optional
    up to a total of 255 values.
    ________________________________________________________________
    Now the difference is:
    The GCD function returns the largest integer that divides
    both the numbers without a reminder.
    and
    The LCM function returns the smallest positive integer that is the
    common multiple of all the integers in the arguments.

    So lets find out each the GCD AND LCM.
    First, double click a cell and type the gcd function,using cell
    reference or numbers as arguments, after you finish typing function press enter and the GCD is displayed.
    Similarly , double click a cell and type the LCM function,using cell
    reference or numbers as arguments, after you finish typing formula press enter and the LCM is displayed.
