Pour A Concrete Slab

  • Published on Aug 6, 2016
  • Learn how to pour a small concrete slab. This is the first step in what eventually will become a small shed to house my dust collector and
some other tools. I probably won't get to building the shed until
late September early October but the weather was nice this week so I thought I'd get this part done.

Great idea by using the screws into the old concrete to tie them together. I have been thinking of going to rent a hammer drill to drill to attach rebar. I may just use the screw idea instead.

Instructive video, but surely he didn't mix all that concrete one or two bags at a time in the 'barrow. If he did, was there a problem with the concrete setting up by the time he got to the 6th or 7th batch?

Very informative video, start to finish (including tool and wheelbarrow cleanup).
Question 1: when is it necessary to place expansion joints? Would scored lines suffice? // Question 2: At what size would it be desirable to figure in a drainage slope?
