Omg.. if a guy molested a kid.. idk do not let them out of prison.. problem solved.
Forcing a person to take meds after a term is served. Would the same be said to a person in a mental hospital... would you draw blood samples every month.. and if not on meds they go straight back?
Once the time is served maybe the duration of parole.
That would be like hey your on disability for PTSD.. take these meds or we do not pay you anymore..
Easy fix.. just do not let them out.

the problem with extreme laws and punishments is, people often get wrongfully accused and punish only to later be proven innocent. also corruption can twist laws and punishments to be used for other evil proposes and to abuse people. even tho some may deserve this and worse, but you don't fight evil with evil or you become evil then whats the point.

In regard to CHcemical Castration, Its pretty much Anti Human rights law, so It kind of cant be even considered law. Basic human rights are applying even retrospectively, which means this law is and always will be invalid. For more references, look at Case, where SLovakia castrated Gipsy woman, dunno how its called now ...

who cares about the side effects? anemia may be the worst of their problems but what about there victims? the victims will carry the trauma with them for the rest of their lives because of what these sickos did, and that baldheaded fuck who says it wont work, he is a dumbass who looks like a pedo, not only does chemical castration have nothing to do with treating mental illness so I have no idea why he is bringing that up, but in literally all cases where a person wants to molest or even rape a child, mental illness is involved, so I dont know why this guy is saying that pedophilia is not a sexual sickness, and on top of that when the other guy says its not "medically proven to 'work'" I hate to break it to you, but it works! this is not the 1800s anymore! your fucking government tests medications to see if they actually work! seriously I want both those clowns fired

"Chemical castration is designed both to shackle the mind and cripple the body of sex offenders, it... should be struck down as a violation of the Eight Amendment."
The same could be said of the suffering caused by prisons. Let's stop sending people to prison guys, it's cruel!
This is also akin to banning surgery for causing harm, because they can't think big enough to grasp the harm prevention. It is okay to experiment on child molesters when there's more good to be done than harm. Chemical castration isn't done to punsh the offender, it's done to protect the victims. It's moral.

I find it sad that I'm genuinely surprised that I actually had to THINK on whether or not a new piece of Alabama legislation was in fact monstrous. However, upon giving it some thought, I have come to the conclus- of COURSE it's fucking horrible! Don't get me wrong. Sex offenders (the actual pedophiles I mean... not the poor bastards who were 18 having sex with a 17 year old) are normally deplorable individuals who need to be severely punished. But what that legislation proposes is indefensibly inhumane. It's a perfect example of fighting fire with fire, and its flawed origins were QUITE pronounced when the senator, when challenged by scientists and thinkers, responded only with a shallow appeal to emotion, rather than reason.

I can't help but feel a little sorry for JoJo and Jaclyn. That's a shit way of trying to enter the world of mainstream industry. But, having said that, I am curious as to what level of duplicity they engaged in regarding the clearly poor levels of oversight and QC for their products. Did they know? If so did they try to rectify the situation? Either way, I suppose it has little impact on the end result. This is certainly going to be QUITE the PR disaster for the both of them, especially Jaclyn.

Child sex offenders should be castrated. Crippling the mind and body of a sex offender is justice seeing as how the child rapist cripples their victims for the rest of their lives. If someone violates a child in such ways, they forfeit their "basic human rights" simply because their action is intentional. There is no such thing as "accidental" child molestation. The intent to sexually abuse a child is beyond cruel and there has to be a zero tolerance of some sort in place. Now, that being said, this should be applied to those who have been found GUILTY of said offenses. Trial by media is not the same as Trial by jury. Everyone DOES have the right to due process.

As someone who was sexually abused as a child (9yo) I still have reservations about chemical castration. There are so many different circumstances that could lead to someone being convicted of a sexual crime. A 14 year old could be (and it has happened) convicted of a sexual crime against say a 10yo. Where is the line drawn on who could be subjected to castration? I also worry about the psychological ramifications. It could create a worse monster than the convicted was before. Just keep them in jail away from everyone. Hell, I think lethal injection would be more humane and I'm not for the death penalty.

  • nat lider
    nat lider 5 months ago

Your previous report on the death penalty had me shook! That deep dive video was an amazing piece that laid out the true awfulness of this kind of 'justice'. I can't help but draw comparison to chemical castration - the state again is 'experimenting' on its citizens. Conducting procedures that aren't proven to work in getting desired outcomes, have significant side effects and consequences and considerated medically problematic and unethical?! I wonder who is doing these castrations; how can Doctors be ok in these cases but attending to death row goes against the Hippocratic oath? Or is it the local hairdresser doing the castration as well as executions? both of these retributive firms of punishment are grossly barbaric and ineffective and abuse of human rights

  • Sam Omen

I'm just going to put this out there...as a parent, the idea that castrating people who raped a child is "inhumane" is ridiculous to me.
No amount of horrendous torture is enough.
Even death is too good for them.
I suppose they should count themselves lucky that I'm not personally in charge of anyone's punishment for a crime like this against a child.
I can tell you that my imagination provides plenty of ideas for how to deal with them, and not a single one allows them the mercy of death, let alone an opportunity to someday reproduce.

  • Christopher Newby

I don't think we should should start utilizing chemical castration Willy nilly, it seems like a slippery slope. I mean just look at what is going on with deplatforming, it was suppose to be for mass shooters now it's for anyone far right; it's obvious we can not be trusted to differentiate those who are threating individuals. I'd also like to add if the innocent project has taught us anything it's that there are hundreds of innocent and wrongfully convicted individuals in prison, and imagine how much tax payers money could eventually be allocated to those wrongfully chemically castrated. I worry that eventually we will get to a point where chemical castration will become an abused practice, I mean yesterday it's child sex offenders, today it's all criminals, tomorrow it's any and all abhorrent sexualities (gays, bdsm fetishism, trans, a sexual, intersex, trans fetishism, furries, etc...); once we begin decensitizing ourselves to removing human rights we begin an unavoidable descent to losing our humanity.

  • Margaret Steadman

Regarding the sex offender chemical castration, here’s my undercaffinated not fully formed thought: chemical and physical castration has been used historically anywhere between the Han dynasty and the Ming dynasty (as the only men allowed to work with women were eunuchs.) as well as across other Asian countries, Europe, and the US before. It’s not a new concept (Alan Turing chose chemical castration instead of imprisonment but ultimately this gets into a question of the effects of prison for me. If someone serves their time and we still don’t trust that they’ve changed or reformed that we have to continue with punishment outside of prison, then what are we doing in prison? What’s the point of serving a sentence for someone to go right back out and do the same act again? (Here’s where I go off topic) shouldn’t we be reforming those who broke the law, not to mention moral and social law, in a way in which that person can understand not only what they did was wrong, but here’s how to be a member of society again? Here’s how to obey legal, social and moral law?
If this seems tangential it probably is. I’m only halfway through my morning cuppa

  • TheCritic

The castration is completely useless as anything else then "revenge"
Rape is and molestation is fundamentally about power,
if a serial rapist finds himself infertile he/she will improvise.

  • Belle Beniri
    Belle Beniri 5 months ago

Concerning the chemical castration, a big part of the debate is that the sex offenders can purchase certain over the counter herbs that neutralize or reverse the effect of the drugs. In many states, child molesters serve very little if any jail time due to the exception made using chemical castration. What they did to the children is physically irreversible, so why is it considered inhumane to physically castrate a sex offender but not inhumane what they do to their victims? The only problem with physical castration is if someone is wrongfully convicted.

As far as the Jaclyn Cosmetics lipstick launch, I ordered the entire collection & was fortunate in that all my lipsticks arrived perfect & beautiful. Not to say I wasn’t horrified at the lipsticks that some customers received, because WOW, those lipsticks were nothing short of disgusting & unacceptable. I do not use Twitter or Facebook, but felt it was important to note, at least somewhere, that the lipsticks I received were beautiful & flawless. Also I have approximately 16 friends & 8 family members that ordered Jaclyn’s lipsticks as well, all of which received perfect lipsticks like I did. However, I do have 2 other friends who received lipsticks that were gritty, had the small “balls” throughout the lipsticks, contained the mystery “fuzz” & had the holes in them as described by other customers. Considering all the far below perfect lipsticks that made it past quality control, & made it past anyone & everyone that should’ve caught the problems & stopped them from leaving the lab or factory or whatever, Jaclyn should really reconsider where her products are being made. Everyone should’ve received perfect, beautiful & flawless lipsticks like the ones that me & my family & friends received. I sincerely hope she gets production & quality control up to par & that everyone receives replacement products that are flawless & beautiful. I hope she hasn’t lost her opportunity because of this huge production fail. The lipsticks that were sent that they got right really are beautiful & I would love to see everyone receive the quality products that my friends, family & myself received. I assume she’s working hard to correct the problematic lipsticks & doing right by the customers who received any products that were less than perfect.

Regarding the pedo's... when we start playing around with things like chemical castration where we are actually experimenting on human beings where does it end? It doesn't. Once the government is allowed to start this process (even if these horrific people deserve their punishment) it leaves too much room for new categories of what our government deems "criminal " the next thing you know and I realize this is a stretch but let's face facts that anything can happen.... is that poor people, immigrants, etc etc can and will be chemically exploited. I would much rather see them imprisoned for life with no comforts like t.v. etc then start allowing my government to experiment on any citizen. Plus chemical castration won't stop the urge to molest or rape people it will only take away one tool. If you are f**ked up enough in the head to go after children in the first place a limp noodle won't stop you from achieving your goal. Which again is why I advocate a life sentence with no parole.

Quality control: I'm not a manufacturing engineer, but how can a factory accidentally add asbestos into there product...except of course if the factory is super super contaminated and God help the staff working there.
I'm guessing some factory worker possibly did a Fight Club Movie style contamination to the lipstick, or possibly the chemicals and/or storage of the chemicals to make the product where again possibly, super unsanitary for something that you would put to your lips, ir maybe there could have been a contamination in the factory machines. Again, I'm just guessing here about the first story.

If you are a child molester then you don't just create a victim but you create someone who will (more than likely)keep molesting. It's not 100% but the percentage is high. So put the animals down whatever way you can. I know i know - what about the cases where the bf gets accused by the parents...blah blah blah. Those cases (as with all cases ) can be looked at. But full card carrying NAMBLA members should be oh so lucky to be living after banging a kid.

The chemical castration thing doesn't sound right. While I personally am very much "eye for an eye" in terms of how I feel about things emotionally, I think if there is no hope for rehabilitation (which if you're permanently mutilating someone, seems to be true) then you should just go for death penalty and end things there.
Again, I can understand eye for an eye mentality (and I think years of pain and humiliation would be fitting) but I also know that allowing vengeance to be a driving factor of justice isn't a good idea.

"Chemical castration is designed both to shackle the mind and cripple the body of sex offenders, it is doubly cruel and should be struck down as a violation of the Eigth amendment." So kind of like what offenders do to their victims? I'd say it's a fitting punishment for someone who would shackle the mind and cripple the body of a child for the rest of the child's life.
That being said, there are many things that can go wrong like false accusations and wrongful sentences. If the offender is innocent and put through this process, it would be incredibly inhumane and wrong. How could you possibly take that back or protect the inmate? By freezing and preserving the offender's DNA? That would cost a ton of money, and private prisons especially would take advantage of that or just not do it. And don't suggest providing medical insurance to the wrongfully accused. This is the U.S., not a country that cares about its citizens, much less convicts.
Also, there's the possibility of this punishment being applied to other crimes, or even worse, the possibility of this punishment becoming a tool for abuse against certain demographics. It's no secret that Alabama is a place that is very unsafe for non-caucasian folks. Slowly, overtime, they could ensure that certain demographics' population decrease from sterilization.

Hi my name is Crispylemon i am 19 years old and work in Asbestos Removal. Asbestos is an organic mineral/fiber also known as the Serpentine rock. Which is The California State Rock. It was used in many types of Insulation decorations, fabrics & so much more. Asbestos was the easiest strongest and cheapest material to obtain at the time. It was mostly used as a fire resistant material, but went on too be used as a decoration. If you live in a house with a popcorn ceiling that is asbestos. Asbestos is safe when it is not distrubed. The moment you mess with it break it or tamper with it. You release the asbestos particles in the air which are smaller than 3 microns in diameter. Thats 1000x smaller than fiber. If you spray it down with water you decrease the amount of asbestos in the air, which sorta helps but its best to wear hazmat suits gloves and hepa filter Masks. You must have an Osha 40 certification like i do to remove and dispose of asbestos so please do not touch it. Asbestos particles can lodge into your lungs and cause scarring and cancer to the lungs called Asbestosis. Once you breathe in asbestos there is no cure. There is NO SAFE amount of asbestos so please be cautious & WEAR A HEPA FILTER MASK. You will not see any side effects of asbestos until 40 years after. Which is terrifying. If youre in need of asbestos removal call a restoration company certified in asbestos removal or contact your city enviornmentalist for assitance. I hope this clears up what Asbestos is and what it does.

Getting punished in this way I say to the pedophiles out there, WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU’RE A PEDOPHILE?!?! It’s easy for the critics against this like John Stinneford to say this when they were NOT the ones molested as a child like I was!!! Cruel and unusual punishment also easy to say when it NEVER happened to you or someone you love PLUS they should be punished in a cruel way since it’s not just a regular crime they RAPED CHILDREN/INFANT, so yes it should be as cruel as possible!!! These “people” aren’t dangerous ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! So you call molesters NOT dangerous, REALLY?!?! In my opinion they deserve SO MUCH WORSE!!! ALSO I agree with Representative Steve Hurst what is more inhuman then molesting children!!! Obviously I know I’m biased but STILL my opinion stands!!!
