Chemical Guys Thanks alot for replying to my query, this will be helpful for me detailing my car..I find your videos very helpful, but still if I hv any questions I'll reach out to you, please don't mind for this.
      Thanks again😊

Hi Pratik, those are great questions. Butter Wet Wax is a great choice, it's my personal favorite! It can last up to four months and it will help water bead off the paintwork. The thing I love about Butter Wet Wax is that it can be applied onto a wet car! You can wash your car and then apply Butter Wet Wax without ever drying it. When it comes to waxes, you can't go wrong with Butter Wet Wax. If you're looking for even more protection, you can use a sealant prior to applying the wax for even longer protection. We recommend JetSeal, which can provided durable protection against the harshest elements for up to one full year! Thanks for watching, Pratik, and stay tuned for a new video dropping later today!

    What services should i offer?

    • Chemical Guys
      Chemical Guys  Year ago +2

Hey Brian, that's totally up to you. You should offer whatever services you feel you can give your customers outstanding results with. You can start with the basics and then work your way up. As you learn and become more comfortable detailing, you can expand your practice to include repairing windshields, headlight restoration, ceramic coatings, and more. One thing is for sure though, aside from a basic wash and clay, you should offer your customers at least one kind of protection, whether that be sealant or wax, or both. Pair that with an interior detail, and you have your go-to package. Thanks for watching, Brian, and make sure to check out our new video just uploaded moments ago!

How much should you charge for a car wash just rinse foam risne dry

    • Chemical Guys
      Chemical Guys  Year ago

Hi, good question. Depending on who you ask, pricing is going to be all over the place depending on location, the detailer's experience, the quality of the chemicals he uses, if he is mobile or working from a shop, speed, how many employees will be attending to the car, etc. It's much more accurate and efficient for you to simply call a couple of local detail shops in your area or visit their websites to get a feel for what you should charge/pay. Thanks for stopping by and good luck!

It allows the customer to continue their busy daily life without interruption. For pricing, there are a number of different things you will have consider, but one tip is you can use local competitors for reference and decide accordingly. Joe Luis - Even though Chemical Guys do make some good products in my opinion they aren't the best fit for a mobile detailer. There products are better suited for the car enthusiast. Are you a mobile detailer or a mobile washer?

Seal then wax but you're wet sanding / compounding / polishing and doing a good job of it you won't need glaze, just straight seal then wax.

    • archjuh
      archjuh Year ago +1

Usually seal before waxing, ceramic coating right after polishing. Longest durability goes first.

socksare Harder your suppose to seal/coat before you wax. Wax should be the final stage

I’m trying to start getting serious for the summer but people don’t want to pay money in my area. Nothing worth while. It’s all low balling like 50, 60 bucks in an area where it’s sent rural. So I burn most of that money in gas. It’s super annoying

    • MrMspeed3
      MrMspeed3 Year ago +1

In low economy areas you have to serve those low ballers they get to talking and eventually you get a good bite and it goes up from there plus you have to be good enough it's a hustle in areas like that I went from $40 jobs to a dealership calling me in 3 years but I'm in Michigan people don't pay to clean cars in 10 inches of snow lol

When you are done polishing with v38 do you have to do VSS?

    • Cris Pichardo
      Cris Pichardo Year ago +2

      Thank you so much

    • Chemical Guys
      Chemical Guys  Year ago +1

The Black Pad is a finishing pad that has no cut and will not remove any paint, thus why it is used for applying waxes, sealants, and glazes (these products contain no abrasives). V38 is still a final polish, so you will need to use a polishing pad, like the White Pad. I'm going to leave a really helpful article below that explains the polishing process step by step. I am also going to leave a link to the Pad Chart below that lists all the color pads and when to use them! Enjoy!

    • Cris Pichardo
      Cris Pichardo Year ago +1

Could i be able to use a black pad instead of a white pad for v38? What's the difference between them?

    • Chemical Guys
      Chemical Guys  Year ago +1

Hey Cris, thanks for watching. V38 is an ultra-refined final polish that will finish your paint to perfection following the compounding and polishing steps. Once you get to the V38 stage, you are finished with the polishing process and you can move onto the glazing, sealing, and waxing stages of the detail. V38 would be preceded by V36 or a more aggressive product if needed. VSS on the other hand, is a one step product that cuts hard and then refines to a fine polish, eliminating the need for a product like V38. Glad to have you part of the Chemical Guys family, Cris!
