@dave I see a 4K 120hz screen on Razer’s site for the Pro 17, any chance you can get your paws on it for a review? And know if any other laptops that will have that screen? And whoops mentioned below haha, ditto

There is no reason anyone should have a 17 inch laptop. Laptops were made for portability. If you want a big display... get a desktop.

Depends entirely on what your using for. Anything related to gaming then the razer and for design or video editing it comes down to if you prefer Mac OS or windows.

We expect a number pad on a 17" laptop especially that a big screen is ideal for CAD work.

I mean it’s not in my budget, but at $2.5k it’s similar in price to a base model MacBook Pro... I wouldn’t say it’s “expensive...” It’s 2019 some people pay $4k - $6k for laptops... That’s expensive lol 😂.

Anyone know how the screen quality is on this machine for Photo editing? I am a gamer and photographer and i have been eyeing this and the new Alienware m17 R2 ( new thin version) and i cant decide between the two.Size and weight are not an issue, i just need to be able to get the best color accuracy on a 17Inch machine.I would go with the 15inch oled or 4k but i just need the bigger real-estate of the 17 inch. 1080p is fine as the PPI would be enough and when I am home i can just hook it up to my 27 Inch monitor.Any ideas guys?

I would buy either the 15 or 17 inch Razor blade pro if they would just out a damn num pad on it. I cant stand keyboards without it.

    • Not So Samurai
Not So Samurai 2 months ago

@Aaron I'm a gamer also, but most people dont only game on there laptop. I dont care what you think or who their target is. If you have a 17 inch powerful laptop like that you should put a num pad so it's easier to use for productivity as well as gaming and video editing or whatever else you would use it for. I bought a Sager instead of a Razor for this. Also their target should be people who can afford a $3000 laptop. Most of the people I know who can afford one are like me and use it for more then simply gaming.

    • Aaron
      Aaron 2 months ago

@Not So Samurai but u are not the target demographic of the laptop

    • Aaron
      Aaron 2 months ago

@Not So Samurai just cuz theres space doesnt mean they should. it looks uglier with a numpad and in the end its a gaming laptop. u dont need a numpad on a gaming laptop

    • Not So Samurai
Not So Samurai 2 months ago

@Aaron I dont want to use one without it. I have a 17 inch with it and a 15 inch without it. If they make a 17 inch laptop there is plenty of room for it but to save money they use the same keyboard.

  • RJB-V
