@CEN CAL only 2 picks in his first career start against a top teir team in the NFL all while leading a collapsing offense? Yeah you right he's god awful for those 2 picks

Rudolph might be an upgrade I think Ben held us back Rudolph same amount of experience as Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield. Only veteran qb in our division is Andy dalton. The future is now Mason might be better he got groomed by a HOF qb Mayfield and Jackson didn't. Let's go

Rudolph just may be the replacement we have been looking for he looks good and this year will be a great opportunity for him. However bring Ben back if he can do it let Rudolph learn under him another year or two.

I don't like that Steeler fans are so quick to retire Ben. Ben has earned the right to be in charge of his retirement. He had a record breaking season last year and he is only 37. He has saved the Steelers from mediocrity when he took over. If he wants to try to come back he should be allowed to.

Staff are trying to 'win' what they can now as contracts end soon or ownership may choose to hit a big reset button with struggles beyond having a lack of All-Star players to pull additional weight. Lack of proper scheming, and adjusting schemes in-game, are exposed more than ever.

They had a 1st round grade on Rudolph.. they moved up in the 3rd to take him..... They’re rolling into the future with a bargain in Rudolph & that’s the way they’re going....
I love the move... Fitzpatrick is an upgrade on the backend & Rudolph gets a shot at turning this season around... Very cool

  • California Dreaming
    California Dreaming 23 days ago

I’ve always thought that Mike Tomlin has held Big Ben back. Tomlin tends to make poor game-time decisions in big games. I think Ben has two rings but in reality, he should have, oh, let’s say four. Of course Ben has had to deal with playing in the same conference as the Patriots. But Ben is a better QB than people realize. He has around a 2.55 Time-to-Throw (TT) number while 2.5 is considered “perfect.” But Ben is also more accurate than most guys his size, and historically he’s been difficult to bring down. But I do think Ben should retire because he’s wasting his time in Pittsburgh. If I were Ben I would’ve considered either A. Getting Tomlin canned, or B. Asking for a trade.

This isn’t some great dynasty that is breaking up. The Steelers with Ben have done nothing of note this decade besides lose in the playoffs and play second fiddle to the Patriots. Despite the talent of AB and Bell. They lost those two, and the Steelers have looked utterly pathetic this year with Ben.
Ben is a Future HOFer and we appreciate everything he has done, but he has not delivered the goods in a decade now, and his Schtick and drama act is getting old. This isn’t the 2000’s anymore. It’s time for the Steelers to move on. That’s what the Giants were forced to do with Eli.

They gave up a 3rd round pick to move up and get Mason. They graded him as a 1st rounder. Hey Nick if they end up in the playoffs after starting 0-2 hmm why would they take Ben back at 30million per?! Dumbazz

  • Getting Bent With Bo
Getting Bent With Bo 24 days ago +4

If I am not mistaken, the Steelers had a first round grade on Mason when he was coming out in the draft. They just had bigger holes to fill than quarterback. But when he was available in the 3rd they had to jump on him. Sometimes the apples just fall like that.

    • God is for real Prove he does not exist
God is for real Prove he does not exist 23 days ago +1

@Ken Cranston Brady had a 3rd round grade by the patriots and look how he turned out... G. O. A. T

    • Getting Bent With Bo
Getting Bent With Bo 23 days ago

@Ken Cranston You obviously have no idea how drafting works. The first round rating was not set by the NFL it was set by the steelers. You can have a 1st round rating on a guy at a position not of need. Because you never know who is going to be taken/available. The team does their scouting and rates every player they like/have interest in and gives them a round grade. The steelers biggest position of need was on the defensive side of the ball. So even though had a quarterback ranked with a first round grade, that doesn't mean they will take them.

    • Ken Cranston
      Ken Cranston 24 days ago

If they had a true 1st round rating they would have taken him in the 1st round. It's the most important position on the field. And another team would have snagged him up also within 3 rounds

Mason Rudolph hasn't started a game yet and people are already saying he isn't going to be good and the Steelers aren't going to win many games. Let the games be played before you decide the champion. Yeah on paper it doesn't look good but the paper rarely works on the field.

    • Chuck Kelly
      Chuck Kelly 21 day ago

The Nite they got Rudolph. I had him going to Clev. They past on him 3 times. They wanted Mayfield. Rudolph beat out Mayfield the the GOLDEN ARM Competition. I think we made out with the better of the 2. Which is why I thought he would end up in Clev. But we also got Wasthington His Goto WR.

    • Chuck Kelly
      Chuck Kelly 21 day ago

They Fliped a coin between Rudolph An Dobbs. They unloaded Dobbs... ANOTHER BAD IDEA. .
They brought in Paxton Lynch. He's now No#3 behind Rudolph. They got Hodges with no hope of using him. More Bad ideas.
Conner will never be an .L. BELL.
But he's a Good RB. He's backed up with Samuels. So we're ok there.
What happens now is on them.
BUT HONESTLY DON'T SEE THE STEELERS WINNING IN S.F. They stand a good chance Leaving 0---3.
