The lost socks reminds me of all the dorm laundry rooms I've seen.

Too many hooks. It's a good idea for just the ironing things though. Or just to dry some damp items of clothing if you don't have a tumble dryer

    Still looks cluttered tbh

What about that big tub of oxy clean from the first photo. Everything didn't make it over. I also use color fabric bleach, cleaning vinegar and regular bleach. Don't see a place for that.

Loved this idea at first but now's it's just being used for every video over and over again- it's like the focus is on the publicity and money and not cute diys and aesthetic hacks anymore that are sure to brighten people's day and keep them in awe

Nifty keeps suggesting hanging things on bed slats... is that actually safe?

    • yaya centella
yaya centella 7 months ago +1

@okashi10 true that. i see it from a different angle

    • okashi10
      okashi10 7 months ago +8

@yaya centella - Right, but the weight distribution is a lot different when the slats are lying horizontally and there's a flat mattress lying on all of them. Much less weight on the fabric straps, and less forward pull from differently-sized items.

its wood and they are made to hold a mattress and people. so i would think so. it is those hooks being held by one anchor screw each that had me worried.

Yeah there’s got to be a way to get a more sturdy vertical organizer.

It's a great idea.. however I know my family. All those little baskets would be over full, the s-hooks would have been stretched beyond repair, and no one would ever claim their lost and found socks. Plus it would be dusty in no time, from all the drier lint. The big finish would be, when I went to hang that shirt up at the end to steam it, the whole apparatus would come down from the weight of all the crap in the baskets!

      Yes you must be right
Actually I was gonna use it to hang light things in my kitchen though
      Thank you any way

I'm on the opposite - it would fly away on the first attempt to hang down that ironing table, also looks very risky to hang electronics like that. Not only it does not hug the handle fully (either lectronic machine, but the other end as well!!) but longevity of it questionable at best. We are talking about a thing that is basically a christmas tree decoration hook, just slightly bigger.
