I've had both the XPS 15 9560 and 9570. The 9560 had awful coil whine and I had to return it, the 9570 had some coil whine but not as bad.

finally, someone else that seems annoyed by these facts... That those marketing types that manufacture laptops, seem to always put in some contradicting features ,which takes out certain pleasures of working with it. You think you found the one you like, not too expensive and has lots of great options. But the card won't work nice with that type of processor.Cards memory is quite entry, even if the card itself seems tough enough. An SSD combined with an ancient type HDD is just asking for trouble. The specs might be fine, but the screen has horrible color . Black/White balance is off. Some dead pixels are showing here and there.RGB ? Nice, but what is the logic of it except you pay extra for some overal useless eye-candy. RTX is still a futuristic option which most games don't use.Too many useless ports, too little of needed usb type ports. Ugh... No matter what the cost of that thing, there is always something somewhere.. off. Like i stated, it's marketing smartness. Or rather abuseness. It forces you to turn to some lap shop, and refine the thing, which will cost you even more than it already was, just to tweak things as they SHOULD work. Besides this, they often use secondhand/ cheap stuff from other brands in them you don't get to see, unless you're a pro that can take the thing apart yourself.Which would be nice, for then you can also have a go at tweaking it yourself. So either that, for at least you know what's in there, or you get as good as it gets for your money, and just be content with it. And stop watching all those ' bigger, better, badass' videos altogether.

The thing that always bothers me about laptops is it seems like theres always *something* annoying about whatever one you choose. I love my 17 inch rog strix but i will never not be upset that asus decided that their fancy rog key is worth moving the numlock to be a secondary function of the home key. I wouldnt have a problem except the only end key (which i actually use pretty often) on the whole thing is in the numpad cluster, *and there is no numlock indicator, you have to press a number key to actually know* BUT THERES AN INDICATOR LIGHT FOR AIRPLANE MODE!!! *GOD FORBID* YOU NOT KNOW AT A GLANCE WHETHER OR NOT AIRPLANE MODE IS ON!!!! Thank god auto hotkey exists

Funny how my 2010 MacBook 15” still works like how it was 9 years ago. No anti virus, never been reformatted, only thing had been changed is the battery.
Pc laptops are like disposable goods.

I saw a big issue on my Dell XPS 15 7590 with a IPS UHD Panel. On the top edge of the Display the screen is getting darker. Same thing on the right side of the display. Dell swapped out my display but the issue was still there!! Later the Support told me, that the Displays (built by Sharp) are all like that. Unbelievable! A over 2000$ Notebook and such a crappy Display...

Apple’s quality control and consistency out of the box is horrendous. Loose hinges, all sorts of issues with keyboards, dodgy screens, dented and scratched chassis, damaged cables, differences in surface finish, the list goes on.

I have similar Dell, coil whine is tolerable, the miserable touch pad with the poor software drivers is not. I'm almost up for putting it on sale just because of the bad touch pad. Windows precision drivers don't help, if you come from thinkpad model with large touchpad and MacBook Pro, like me.

JUST A NOTE BUT I GUESS MANY WILL AGREE:*HP SUCKS* do not buy their products. My samsung laptop of 20k INR bought around 2012, after upgrading to 4 GB ram, still works fine with some lagging. My HP notebook series laptop that i bought, had bleeding backlights since the beginning, two hard drive failures, dead pixels within 1 and half years, 3 fans dead, all replaced within one year of use...like wth. Finally now i am using it like a CPU, connected to a monitor, external keyboard and mouse cause the specs are still good. Replacing the screen costs 18k INR from a service centre. The glue holding the screen has melted the the plastic holding the hinge has snapped so i can no longer use the screen. ALL within around 3 years of usage. And of course lets not delve into the hours of troubleshooting blue screen errors.

Finally got tired of this and bought a macbook air 2017 model. Smooth as butter, no issues whatsoever.
