  • BBQ season is well and truly here, so I fancy a BBQ, but mine is old and a bit wobbly. So I can do some safe grilling, I decided to cut mine up and make this mobile BBQ cart, with storage and a bottle opener. It's made from standard decking and pressure treated 4x2's.
This was also a project to try out the evolution R255SMS saw, I wanted to see how good the angle cuts were, dust extraction , making trench cuts, and what sort of cut finish was left on the wood. I have to say, i'm extremely pleased with how the saw preformed, the dust collection though, could be better, for me using the saw outside, it's not a real issue. But I can imagine using it in a workshop it would disappoint you a little.

A Kreg pocket hole jig would hide most of those visible screws to give it a cleaner look

And the bottle opener is a nice touch. Just got a gift of one from my nephew so will add it thanks.

James that is a great piece of work sir😀. I love to bbq myself and appreciate how much help a table top right next to the grill is invaluable, and a bottle opener of course 🍻

Thank you buddy. Having somewhere to put a plate, or put the lid out of the way is a HUGE help. Been meaning to build it for a while now

Thanks Phil, it's a great saw, but the extraction could be improved. But when you have it set up you will love it

That is really nice and giving me some ideas for a cart.
Not a proper BBQ without a beer... or 3 !

@James' Man Cave Thats the best part - relaxing with beers while it starts. I didn't move my fridge closer to the back door for no reason... 🤣

Good, glad it has helped you. I'd have 3 beers whilst it's warming up! 🤣 😂

Simple but great idea. You have a lot of space next to the bbq for your meat, herbes etc... OK, now when can i come over to test it out and have a bbq together LOL

Haha, that's was the idea to be able to place things around the kettle part so I don't have to keep running about and getting stuff. Summer youtuber bbq party it is then! 🤣

Makes a change, she's usually checking out what I'm making. Luckily for her, she's wasn't interested in the grill this time 😂
