World’s RAREST STEAK Olive Wagyu vs Japanese A5 WAGYU Beef!

  • After trying almost every type of wagyu out there one I have never tasted was OLIVE wagyu. But that changes today with this video. Olive wagyu is not easy to get and today I put it against an A5 to see how good it really is. These are the results.

    As it is thin I recommend grilling it in super high heat (Direct Heat) if you don't you will over cook the steak as you are searing it.

    The texture, floppiness, and separation of the raw olive wagyu reminds me of steaks people put together with meat glue (might explain the higher oxidation and "old" taste). I wonder what your $1 wagyu experiment would look like if rather than injecting a solid low price steak with fat you lightly froze the fat and steak, chipped both up, and then glued them together.

    This sucks. I've been watching this channel forever. I love everything you do. Always making my mouth water, but I will never be able to afford or be able to financially justify this kind of experience and I wish I could. Me and my girl both love steak so i guess well have to stick with the videos lol aka food porn.

    Call me crazy, but around $145 each for what is considered the best steak on the planet doesn't seem too expensive to me. It's alot for a steak, no doubt. But, for a once a year, etc experience with what is supposed to be the best steak that exists, $145 isn't insane to me.

    The olive steak look rotten from the oxidation. That’s why she said it taste like old meat. It was not as fresh as the A-5. Great video!

    The olive steak was damaged from the freezing my guess is they didn't quick freeze it....the fibers of the meat were destroyed by the water inside the protein cells expanding as it froze...that's also why it was oxidized.
