    Starting to count calories and macros was equally the best thing for my fitness and the absolute worst thing for my mental health and relationship with food. I feel like I was probably happier being a little thick and eating the food that I loved than I am now being thin and shying away from some of my favorites because "I don't want to expend the calories."

    Love your videos Matt, you should do a "no drinking alcohol for 30 days" video, (assuming you drink). You'll see big changes in energy levels, decreased anxiety, better mood, weightloss and tons of other benefits. People don't know that even drinking on weekends can significantly impact your health throughout the week.

    Im really disappointed that he never mentions EDs. EDs are often coupled with other mental health issues like anxiety and depression, and anorexia has the highest mortality rate of all psychological disorders. I personally know people who developed theirs in part from using the exact myfitnesspal app. I love your videos, but this seems pretty grossly irresponsible. Please consider editing the description to include something.

    Ok but also creating a calorie deficit by simply eating less can put your body in starvation mode where, when calorie intake increases, your body is used to functioning on the lesser amount of calories and will store more fat making it easier to gain that weight back.

    Even though I don't struggle with eating disorder, I would've loved to see a freaking disclaimer, after you encourage people to count calories at the end of the video, that it isn't necessary. While I agree that it's helpful, I also know how triggering the "everyone should try this" can be for tons of people.

    Not the best thing if you have eating disorder or any tendency to have one. People are overthinking eating, if we would listen to out bodies more, most times then not it would all balance out

    My brother has been into fitness ever since he was in high school and he has done so much to better understand his body and how to properly lose weight like counting calories. But then I realized he stopped most of what everyone else was doing, the so called "proper way" of staying fit. He told me, its all a bunch of useless steps. He also said, when you better understand the food industry and how your body truly works, steps like counting calories means nothing in the long run. I asked what he found out and basically from what I can understand, it seems a bit ridiculous. He said, most people won't dare to go to the lengths he goes to but if you want the real progress, you have to. He wanted me to know that there are many ways to get to your goal, he just found the fastest.

    I started MyFitnessPal 3 days ago. I think it will work for me. I cook by myself - mostly meat, vegetables... but I had a sort of binge eating- then I would eat a lot of dairy, sugar - processed food. And I thought this will Not effect me -> but that was wrong. I have to learn always eating normal. Also My portionsize was never normal. I am looking forward learning to eat normal portionsizes and have no cheatdays anymore.
