Tabasco on oysters?! Someone somewhere in France just died! Oh and in case you were wondering, because John didn't explain it, the hardest mountain to climb is K2, Everest' Pakistani brother from another mother. Only about 300 climbers have made it to the summit, and for every 100 who attempt the climb, 29 die.

When there are some credits you should give to China , but you just don't want to mention. China limits the permits on climbing Everest because it knows how dangerous it is .

Dude, it's brought up about halfway through the video, man. Tibet is (by most accounts) part of China. He says Tibet limits climbers in the video! Do you need a timestamp, or are you just going to keep crying wolf? Here's the timestamp for you 13:28.

Actually, the problem is across race and gender. Shriya Shah-Klorfine, the ill-prepared woman who died climbing Mount Everest, was a Nepalese-Canadian. There was also Green Boots, whose body became a landmark on the route to Everest summit, was an Asian Indian.

In US dollars Nepal's 2019 national budget is 13 million. Nepal's Board of Tourism, the government agency issuing permits to climb Everest, receives about 3.25 million USD annually for those permits. That is fully 25% of Nepal's national budget and over and above that 3.25 million are the millions spent in Nepal by those who buy the permits. It's more than likely then without commercial climbing expeditions Nepal (the 25th poorest nation in the world in terms of GDP per capita at around $900 per year) would fall even lower in economic terms.
It's clear that the climbing economy is a huge part of the Nepalese economy and I'm sure most Nepalese are glad commercial climbing expeditions exist. For me personally though the "feat" of climbing Everest as part of a commercial expedition doesn't impress me. Instead it makes me think those who have done it as part of a commercial expedition really aren't all that admirable.

Nepal At last has put limits banning newbies from climbing. They must of climbed a 6500 foot mountain with an official guide, and gone though high altitude training, and hace a proper physical fitness report not just a doctor note before they can get a permit. Only took the deadliest season in decades for it to happen.

One can hire a sherpa, as a guide. The climber must carry all of his or her equipments required to reach to the top. At any time when the climber cannot reach to the top without sherpa's help, the climber must head back down.

Thru-hiking the Appalachian trail is also getting a bit overcrowded because it's getting too mainstream. During peak start dates there are around 60 people staying at an 18 person shelter, it screws with the environment they are all trying to enjoy.

    Where's the fun in that?

Seriously, while I agree that mankind is capable of,and probably could manage once in a while without epic levels of achievement in stupidity, half the stuff we have today, good and bad, would not exist if mankind wasn't willing to tackle the challenges involved in risk-taking-even if we have a tendency to take it to insanely stupid extremes.
