Recreating Snoop Dogg's Lobster Thermidor From Taste | Bon Appétit

  • Published on Nov 19, 2019
  • What's the one thing that everybody consistently associates Snoop Dogg with? That's right, the classic French dish Lobster Thermidor. We challenged resident Bon Appétit super taster Chris Morocco to recreate Snoop's famous lobster recipe using every sense he has other than sight.

To bid, please visit before November 24.
This holiday season, for the first time, Bon Appétit featured our all-star Test Kitchen editors on not one, but eight magazine covers. To celebrate the release of our star-studded, deliciously jam-packed Thanksgiving issue, we partnered with eBay for Charity and No Kid Hungry to create a special, custom box set of all eight magazines, signed by each Test Kitchen chef. The issues fit into a one-of-a-kind, custom designed slip-cover. And to sweeten things even more, we're throwing in a homemade pie for your holiday celebration made with love by the Test Kitchen team. The best news? All proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry, one of our favorite charities.

FYI y'all should pair with prizeo with the prize being a test kitchen visit or doing a back to back with Carla. I think you'd make a lot more money because people could bid 5-20 dollars that can't afford 1K and higher. Just a thought.

This show is so fun. I'd love the alcohol tasting thing that Chris mentioned, but I wanna get everyone's opinions on various types of sake!
Yamazaki even has an umeshu that's aged in their whiskey barrels that tastes like whiskey and would really throw them for a loop.

I would love to see a collaboration or some kind of guest appearance of the german chef Tim Mälzer. He has a TV show called kitchen impossible where he challenges other chefs to basically do the same thing as you do here, except for that he is able to see the dish and has to cook it in front of the original chef in the original location. Highly unlikely, I know, but that would be a battle I'd love to see.

If it's very cheesy and creamy it has two different cheeses with no milk duh! dude. It needs heavy cream. Also it's obvious that there needs to be white wine with lobster sauce. Snoop dogs taste is high quality so its going to be rich and creamy with white wine. 🙄
