Running Selenium WebDriver Script in Chrome Browser

  • In this tutorial you will learn two ways to launch chrome browser and will also learn to run your script as well in chrome browser
    1- Directly copying the chromedriver at project root level
    2- By using system property method

    Hi , actually I was trying to automate my office outlook, I am using xpath to locate webelemnts , for few clickable elements it was throwing could not locate the element , i have tried many ways

      @Rafia
      Download the recent version of chromedriver.exe and also pick the recent version of selenium webdriver standalone jar.
      This will resolve your issue.
      For steps follow the tutorial.

      WebDriver driver = new ChromeDriver();
      driver.get("www.google.com/xhtml");
      Thread.sleep(5000); // Let the user actually see something!
      WebElement searchBox = driver.findElement(By.name("q"));
      searchBox.sendKeys("ChromeDriver");
      searchBox.submit();
      Thread.sleep(5000); // Let the user actually see something!
      driver.quit();
