Thanks. I'm going to do this with used concrete, I'm going to sand big chunks into powder and remix with urine for extra strength! I found a lot of hair in my shower drain like a lot so I don't think I'll be needing rebar. Shouldn't take me more than three years.

There are always more than one way. Many are suggesting diamond grinding, which works very well for epoxy, but in our case, does't work well for sealed concrete. Diamond grinding opens up the surface more than acid etching, so it gives the epoxy more area to bond to. Acid etching, if done right, will work just as good. Either system will fail if done wrong though. Proper prep is the key. Good luck.

Ok as a UNION TRAINED CARPENTER...the reason people nail from the outside with duplex nails and only nail to the 1st so you can easily tear it down and re-use the forms & nails... duplex nails are expensive. If you wish to nail from the inside. You just use normal nails. Usually vinyl coated sinkers...they're alot cheaper ...the vinyl holds it while its wet..kind of like a glue on the need to worry about rust...its not a permanent structure. When your union learn not only the right way to do things...but the reasons for it aswell.

    • Texas Barndominiums

4 brackets are redundant. If 3 corners are 90°, so is the fourth one. #efficiency

My first thought was how did this idiot get a contractor's license. A pumper for 20 or 40 bucks and a burrito. Duplex nails. Self leveling mix. I was shaking my head in disbelief. This has got be a joke. And it was. I was preparing to chew this guy out when I got it. Good one jokes on me. Well done.

    • King Jones
King Jones 3 days ago +1

The further you choke up on the hammer the more control you have. When you're swing an 6 or 8lb single jack to drive steel stakes, you should hold it right below the head of the sledge to get extra control of all that weight. You could really hurt your wrist or something if you hold it further back!
