Does this work long term or do you have to continually polish it

@ChrisFix, do you have any tips on how to get the confidence to do this? I previously a few months back tried to do this and I ended up making things worse and another jackass bumped my door with a shopping cart and caused another mark on it that looks like clear coat damage only. Any tips?

Yeah but what happens when you take your car for a wash and the polish & wax wears off?

    • ChrisFix

Polish doesnt wear off. What you see is how it looks. Polish is a very fine abrasive.

I have a question in this process you're actually removing the clear coat? In order to remove the scratch? @chrisfix

    • ChrisFix
      ChrisFix  6 days ago

You're sanding it down a bit, but not enough to actually hurt anything!

Thank you for being exact in your descriptions! Amazing!
I’m astonished! Bought a car...couple months later trusted the hotel valet....(never again).
Went to visit my hometown of NOLa...freaking valet service at Hotel in quarter...must have scraped my car along another or/probably several....several loooong lines worth of scratches and damage!
😮😲🤯🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬..all the way home...didn’t notice, as they rushed us out because they were super busy, not until we needed gas....AND YES WE SHOULD HAVE CHECKED (to those that may comment...and probably will🙄)...but with the money we pay-we naively trusted...last time!
    SO F*****g annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!
    This video was very helpful!!!
    Just thank you! 🙂

This seems like it would only work on a straight scratch, but what about scratches that look like a hammer and sickle? I accidentally dropped a rock on my dad's 911 and it made a hammer and sickle

Hey what happens when I go to the car wash , will it remove the Polish and will I have to copy the process again? Is there a way to reapply clear coat, a simplified way...I never done this before and I scratched the crap out of my work truck driving down an alley....thanks!

  • sea

how many times can you do this with the same area? will this method always work if you get scratches in the same areas? im thinking the wax and then clear coat layer would thin down resulting in this method not being effective anymore but you tell me cause you're the knowledgeable one
