Why NASA hasn’t gone back to the Moon

  • Published on Jul 16, 2019
  • NASA has big plans to return to the Moon by 2024, and it’s banking on the historic Space Launch System (SLS) to get them there. But after years of delays and cost overruns, skeptics are questioning whether SLS should remain the biggest priority for NASA. As the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing approaches, we take a look at what the future of solar system exploration might bring.
Correction: An earlier version of this video showed an incorrect SLS configuration at 00:32, and an older rocket model at 2:16. The video has been updated to correct those inaccuracies.

Why NASA hasn’t gone back to the Moon -- because they never went in the first place.

Why do stars twinkle? Communication. You man, as a race, a species, have to get to know each other, before you can understand a little more about the existence you were born to. Not so intelligent, or civilized, not to get along, but hey, let others do it on your behalf. Not get along that is, while you go live your everyday lives, and make a living for those who think they have a right. 86 your public servants(political leaders). They are ruining much, on your behalf.

Read Gene Krantz book, "Failure is not an option". When they let Apollo die, the best of NASA died too. A Monkey can wear a spacesuit and sit in an automated box until the mission is over. What they DO NOT have is the virtual army of engineers and technicians that made up the 4 full flight crews. Those that sat in one room for a 10 hour shift every day 7 days a week for the length of every mission. 4 shifts per 24 hour day. One team for EVERY system and sub system in the launch vehicle, capsule, second stage, third stage, lander, rover, every thing we use in space. There is no stable status quo in space. Everything is in flux and those teams must be experts in their system. It is they that the launch director goes to when things turn belly up. Apollo 13 is not the only time a mission had a bad problem. Every mission had at least 10 or more problems crop up. 13 was just the worst. Several more were life threatening too, they were just solved quickly and the missions went on.
To build a launch vehicle is one thing. To make it fly was another. To insure it lasted the whole mission is yet another. The FLIGHT ENGINEERS are what made every mission a success. When things drop in the ash bin, the astronauts ask , "What are our options?" The flight director and crew are what give those options and solutions.

If NASA was serious, they would have had a small team work with Boeing during construction of the SLS Booster. Then they would in turn teach more engineers what they learned. You must start this process years in advance. That is why NASA is not serious about returning to the moon. They spend what funds they get on many, many small programs, but ignore the important one.
    Read Gene Krantz book. (soon)

I don't really think we ever went to the moon in the first place. It was faked somewhere on the desert on earth. It's already been proved human's can't stand all the radiation in space, as well as other things. Would not be the first of last time our government has lied to us.

Moon is a toxic explosive glass shard dust bowl. It is not like sand or Earth dust. Moon dust is sharp sticky broken glass like knifes. Moon dust is also explosive. Astronaut moon walks and space walks will tell you space and the moon smell like spent gun power. That is due to suns solar debris are explosive free radicals that explode on contact with eyes lungs space suites air or every thing and anything it comes in contact with.

NASA hasn't been back back to the moon because they never went. They know that with the internet/computers and everything else, faking it like before would be next to impossible. NASA has been lying about technology and how far along they are as well. As long as they keep their own people pushing the fake alien agenda and keep people skeptical about our technology, they will be able to fool the public forever.

Even today's technology still cannot solve the severe problems out there: 1. Van Allen Belts 2. Background radiation 3. Solar radiation 4. Sun flares 5. Micro meteorites 6. Huge differences in temperature 7. 0 Bar outside pressure 8. Long term effects of 0 Gravity on the human body. Look what it did to Scott Kelly.

While I'm totally pro-space to say that "the endeavor [the SLS] is a big job creator" is a bit disingenuous. A lot of space contractors are defense contractors and these contracts are often more JOB SUBSIDIES than job creators. But most of all they are subsidies for billionaires.
SpaceX is cool not only because they build cool tech. But also because they do it at a good price.

One hypothetical answer : George H. Leonard was a former NASA scientist in the photo intelligence division of NASA , as well as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. debating if we still went to the moon or not???? some of us recognize that we have been on a completely different planet earth. The one I remember had a north pole, only one moon landing which was contested as fake, four people in the keneddy car murder, and too many other differences to mention here. Whether people from your earth planet has been to the moon or not shouldnt be your main concern...waking up should be! You have many strangers among you that are not from this earth or timeline. That in itself should be solved first. Figure out how to get them back home safely first, then deal with your space nonsense issues. There are more earths than yours!!!

NASA can't get to the moon and never has been able to. Funding is a feeble excuse - the cost of the shuttle was WAY more.
To replace the Saturn V you'd simply need 3 SRBs and RD-180, hardly rocket science....
The better question is 'Why have NASA been spending all their efforts on the ridiculous Apollo fakes?'
and "Why hasn't NASA gone higher than 250-350 miles?". Let me guess, the excuse will be 'There's nothing to see there' - right.
After the 9 flights of Apollo it's interesting that NASA didn't manage to get a single sighting or single photo of the stars. I wonder why they bothered with Hubble then if there was nothing to see?

    • Graham
      Graham 16 days ago

@Vyralator What cost _was_ intended? Why have any cost at all? NASA had plans for a garrison on the moon back then - why didn't they just get on with it? The entire fiasco of scrapping your best ever rocket system you've just spent $billions on and works perfectly - is if it didn't work.
The very good, simple reason Saturn V was scrapped is because a) it wasn't what they said it was and b) it was a hopeless rocket.
Read the facts and then decide: www.serendipity.li/more/myth_of_apollo.htm#5

I don't get it : Space is the next challenge to all of the Humane race.
I'm disappointed when I see other countries trying to repeat what was done by USA, 50 years ago (China, India, etc.).
I don't know where is the challenge (We have now powerful computer .. in a size of a credit card, new materials, etc.).
If you have money and resources, you can do it ! I guess it(s only to prove that Chinese or Indian scientists are as good as American scientists ?...who can really doubt about this ? no one...
At least there is the ISS... but why going to Mars.. without the fund and the Help of other countries (Russia, Europe,...) ?
I'm sure the future of Mankind is in space but the cost is astronomical right now. Let's hope we can start Space exploration and the creation of colonies before the end of all resources on the surface of the Earth....
