    How did you make that jump from baking for friends & family on your own time to baking when someone asked? I'm an alright baker and everyone seems to love what I make but I always turn down any offers to bake for someone if they offer me money. I've had people ask me to make cupcakes for their parties or a cake for their kids birthday and they'd cover the cost but I always shy away. It might be an insecurity thing so I'm wondering how you managed that?

Question: How do you test new flavors or concepts? Iโ€™d liked to incorporate various flavors in baked goods but don't like the idea of potentially running a whole batch and Iโ€™m unsure how I should approach incorporate new flavors into familiar dishes. Any guidance would be appreciated!

    Does anyone else find that these have someone of a corn bread taste/texture? I've made this and her sponge cake recipe and both are the same.ive followed it exactly and it always reminds me more of corn bread than vanilla sponge or cupcake

      Dalis Blubaugh this means you need to add less water content and more fat. So not using cream and replacing that with butter would be a great way to do this. I hope this was helpful!!

    Fellow Americans: Suet (vegetable and beef) can be found on Amazon. I had to Google it. It's something akin to, but not quite the same as lard or shortening. It looks like it's worth going the extra mile to get rather than defaulting to shortening or lard.
